My Dear Brother Knights,

Our 20th Annual Charity Live Auction and Tricky Tray is less than five months away on April 21st, 2018.  The auction committee kickoff meeting is already scheduled for early December. During the coming months, and especially around the holidays, many of you will be visiting restaurants and stores, which will make it an ideal time to talk with the store manager and solicit a donation for a great cause.  My sincere thanks to the members who have joined the committee and offered their support. But in addition, it also takes the efforts of all members to make it a true success, and I am asking that you take every opportunity to use one of the attached forms to help generate donations for these charities we strive as Knights to help and support.  Please let me know as soon as possible if you have items to donate, and also, who you will solicit.

The Auction format for April 21st 2018 will continue with the traditional Live Auction and Tricky Tray.  Thanks to all of your efforts, it was a very successful 2017 fund raiser and we strive to continue to build on that success.  This event is the councils largest fund raiser and supports ALL of our charities.

It is our hope that organizations and individuals that do not have actual items to donate, might contribute in this manner.  Also, please consider asking your employer or other businesses that you work with.  We will recognize the donors of “auction items” in the Auction Book which will also be distributed on Auction Night.

Lastly, we recognize that some brothers do not have time in their day to solicit donations, or have business contacts that might purchase an ad for the Add Journal.  Please consider a monetary donation to the auction, purchasing a new item for donation or purchasing an ad journal. Your participation as a brother Knight will allow the council to assist all the worthy charities as we have in past years. In the near future the committee will publish a list of suggested items that could be donated (items that draw the most interest from event attendees).

In advance, I thank you for your precious God given time and generosity that you will invest in this event. Please let me know how you can help.
