The student-athletes were winners at local Council, District and Diocesan (Regional) Contests in order to reach the State competition.  First place winners in Wisconsin Rapids received a trophy, gold medal and Certificate of Merit.  Second and Third place winners received a silver or bronze medal and Certificate of Merit.  First place winners’ scores will be submitted to the KC Supreme Headquarters in New Haven, CT for entry into their International Competition.  Their awards were presented by KC State Warden John Booth and State Program Director William Frayer.

The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic men’s fraternal organization with over 1.9 million members globally and over 36,000 in Wisconsin.  Founded in 1882, they are based on the principals of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.  In addition to their top-ranked insurance arm, the Knights are noted also for their parish support, family, youth, pro-life, and community programs as well as their 4th Degree Honor Guard.  Membership is open to all practicing Catholic men age 18 and over!
