March Crab Feed & Tri-tip Dinner was marvelous!
Our council again hosted a second crab feed this season on March 23rd. The menu included Tri-tip, crab, shrimp, pasta with white sauce, Manhattan clam chowder, salad and garlic bread. PGK Al Garcia chaired the event and Brothers Steve Ruch and Kevin Cronan ran the kitchen. Br. Scott McCabe led set-up, and PGK Adin Selby chaired the bar. Even though it was not a sellout (we had quite a few empty seats), all who attended had a great time. Paula Selby chaired our dessert auction and had so many desserts donated, we had trouble getting rid of them all! DGK Damon chaired the raffle and he scrambled up many donations. Special thanks to Andrea and the youth who served the dinner. And, thank you from GK Sam to ALL brother kjnights and their wives who served during the event, or attended and added to our profits. We can only do our charitable work with brothers and families like you! (updated 3/4/19)
Free Throw Contest - One SMG Youth Placed 3rd in the State Contest!

Manny Avina took 1st and went on to place 3rd at the state level in Fresno! Congratulations to these kids for their success! (updated 3/4/19)

Help is needed in the kitchen beginning at 3:00. Dinner is served from 5:00 to 6:30, and all of our guests are encouraged to stay for Stations of the Cross at 6:30 and mass at 7:00. The dinners this year may include fish or shirmp tacos, salmon and rice pilaf, clam chowder with crabby cakes, shrimp pasta, and/or fried shrimp and tater tots. January Crab Feed was a Terrific Success
Our council's first crab feed for 2019 was a rousing success as we nearly sold out our dinner tickets and many people walked away with huge smiles. The menu included crab, shrimp, pasta, clam chowder, salad and garlic bread. PGK Al Garcia chaired the event, Br. Kevin Cronan chaired the kitchen, WGK Sam Cole ran the raffle, and PGK Adin Selby ran the bar. Please thank these gentlemen for their leadership. Many other knights and wives aided significantly in this event, including Br. Scott McCabe who chaired the set-up on Saturday, with the help of Paula Selby and Beth Thayer, among others. Now, lets make plans for the next crab feed in March. (updated 2/4/19)
