Council Announcements

Dear Brothers,

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU SO MUCH for all your valuable time and energy, you have made to make OUR Intellectual Disability (Tootsie Roll) Drive a huge success. Up to date and still coming in, we have now collected over $50,000. All of our thanks to our committee drive members including Bob Syzman (publicity), Rich Doyle (village permits), Tom Marren (counters), Brian Larkin (store permits), Dennis Schook (liability insurance coordinator), Ted Glasier (our State Director and City of Chicago permit) Nate Smith, Bob Syzman, Ron Hrad, and Matt Stevens overview on everything during the drive. A SPECIAL THANKS goes to not only our corner captains, but also to those that immediately stepped up to the plate as a last minute replacement captain due to a sudden loss of a loved one and injury and illness of another. We gratefully thank Ed Kostec Jr. filling in for his dad, Paul Ponce filling in on Sat., Jim Curtin filling in for his dad’s sudden injury and illness, Marc Jarocki filling in Sat. for Brian Larkin’s sudden loss of his father, Drew Farnan filling in on Sat, and Jack Meehan filling in on Friday at 95th and Pulaski. Thanks to all the volunteers giving up their valuable family and work time. Again, thanks to our brothers that tremendously helped in leading up to the weekend of the drive and follow-up including Nate Smith, Marty McCue, Bob Syzman, Matt Stevens, and last but not least Ron Hrad for all of his financial preparation and follow up. A big thank you as well to those who helped and are not members, including the wonderful staff at US Bank. Also County Fair and Richard Fitzgerald and Justin Kwiecinski from BMO Harris who donated bags for money collection. Please accept my apology for anyone I missed. We are especially grateful to our brothers that have been extremely generous donating to this wonderful worthy cause. Our Intellectual Disability Drive continues until the end of June, 2019. Anyone that was unable to physically participate during the I.D. Drive is strongly suggested to donate $75.00. With that said, your family budget or circumstances, may not allow you to fully donate, which we completely understand. Family should always come first. Vivat Jesus, Kevin O’Ryan
